We used the services of Ian Rice from Rice Renovations to complete a kitchen renovation in March 2014. He came to us highly recommended and lived up to our expectations. Our renovation involved taking down an existing wall and installing french doors and replacing a slate floor which needed to be married up to existing floor boards. Ian was instrumental in managing our project. He liaised between his tradesmen and our kitchen installers and kept everything ticking along and our costs down. Any renovation is stressful and not everything always goes to plan. He handled my melt downs and offered good alternatives to problems along the way. We believe a good builder should be judged on their responses to challenges and Ian was fabulous. He is also exceptionally tidy which made living in our house throughout the renovation very manageable To say we are delighted with our kitchen renovation is an understatement. We employed the services of Rice Renovations to knock down and open up the kitchen of a house before we moved in, we heard of Ian Rice through a friend that had used him to carry out a similar project. Within the last 12 years Ian Rice has undertaken three roofing projects connected to improvements to my home. Initially he was contracted by my house-builder to undertake roofing extensions. Being a stickler for quality and good aesthetic results I was impressed by the care taken and by the standard of finish. He took unusual interest in seeking out matching colour and tile styles bearing in mind the original supplier had ceased to manufacture the originals. When I subsequently built a larger extension, a task that was far from being straightforward because of difficult elevations again the outcome was excellent. Renovations to newly purchased commercial property' In February 2014 we purchased a commercial property in Booragoon and approached Ian Rice renovations to assist with some changes prior to moving in. Ian had done some work for us previously and due to the quality of workmanship and approach we decided to use him again. To say that the extensive renovations went without a hitch would be an understatement. The renovations were fairly extensive and including adding additional rooms and spaces and throughout that period we were able to liaise on an almost daily basis with Ian coordinating all of the necessary trades and ensuring deadlines were met. He was able to discuss and provide solutions to technical issues and certainly went above and beyond the normal expectations of a building contractor including site cleanliness, progress reports and out of hour's discussions.
